Event Details
"Dance Your Story" is Delírio's way of celebrating her birthday. A dance fiesta shared with my favorite fellow choreographers aka storytellers-through-dance. This year's event is especially meaningful to me. Please help me help the organization that gave me a better chance at life. You'll discover part of my story, as yet untold, and how it has become the purpose behind my passion. Here's how the magic will unfold...

Delírio™ Latin African Dance & Solidarity Events
Delírio™ is a high-octane, fat-burning workout that respectfully and effectively incorporates authentic (!) cultural dance. Sizzling combinations of salsa, merengue, reguetón and African dance deliver non-stop, heart-pounding action! The benefits? Smoldering curves and marathon-ready endurance.
FYI: Don't be fooled by the fun: an average class burns over 750 calories. Eeeh... "Who says dancers aren't athletes?!"
A graduate of Institut Catholique de Paris, Pillow speaks fluent French, Spanish and Haitian Creole. From African neighborhoods of Paris to Haitian sugar cane communities in the Dominican Republic, Laurie has lived in, studied and documented the cultures that belie the dances featured in Delirio™ classes.
Credential highlights: teaching artist, certified by National Dance Institute and Integr'Arte; certified instructor, American Council on Exercise©, Stott© Pilates and Spinning©. Professional training: Manno Mérisier and Peniel Guerrier, Ecole Nationale de Danse d'Haïti; Assane Konté, West African; La Mora, Afro-Cuban; Philippe Dupont, modern.
Pillow resides part-time in the Dominican Republic, conducts investigative reports in Haiti and teaches Delírio™ from Boston to Miami, DC and France. A dynamic guest lecturer, she inspires people around the world to explore topics in dance history, social justice and human rights. A foot soldier for community action, she produces Delírio™ Solidarity events- bringing together unlikely people to do extraordinary outreach projects.
